Yeongbin Lee researches "audible movements" and works out the visualization of sounds. In March, April 2018, she researched the sounds of the second staircase in the Friedrichstrasse underground station in Berlin. Every day she went there and collected the audible movements on this staircase. In the beginning she concentrated on observing the movements. Then she listened to the sounds. What sounds are here? How does the noise move? The second staircase in Friedrichstraße is made of stone. Different shoes, different speeds and different people mix in the acoustics of the room and describe a specific place. To develop a score of this location, she has taken three videos: one from the right, from the left and from the front. With that she was analyzing the "audible movements". The drawn movement created on the basis of this analysis becomes the score. In collaboration with musicians, this is performed in a musical performance.
