Study of the Water Sounds

The sound of raindrops changes depending on the surface they meet. They splash, scatter, burst, or dissolve into a soft, melting resonance. Speed and intensity continuously reshape both sound and form. I explore these sonic movements and translate them into visual structures.
Water in all its states—flowing, swelling, roaring, trickling, bubbling, boiling, pouring—serves as a constant source of inspiration. “I see sounds with my eyes and hear them with my ears.”
Wells, seas, and rivers such as the Trave, Spree, and Elbe each possess their own acoustic identity. In specific places, the movement of water generates distinct soundscapes that carry embedded narratives. Through experimental processes, I visualize these auditory phenomena, reinterpreting the fluid dynamics and rhythms of water as visual compositions.
